Donate food – collection points and shopping list

Our foodbank relies on your goodwill and support.

We rely on donations to be able to give out our food parcels to those who need them.  Our shopping list on the right shows the food items that we need right now.  Please note that we cannot normally use refrigerated or fresh items as we have no facilities for storing them or appropriate certification.  Also, we cannot give food that is outdated, packets that have been opened, etc.  Keep scrolling down to see the items we do not currently need.

Please see the table below for some of our food donation point locations.  Most churches in the area we cover will also take donations, as will the Cathedral.  Please note that the Aldi Community Collection is not a Foodbank Donation Point and donations put in there do not come to the Foodbank.

Trecastle Community Centre When open

We always welcome donations and promise to use them to provide help to people in crisis, so long as they are within the use-by date, unopened/in reasonable condition. Occasionally we send food to other nearby foodbanks or similar charities to support their work, particularly if they experience shortages and we have an excess.  This ensures your donations go to help people wherever in the UK they are.

If you want to give a donation but don’t want to go to a shop or can’t get to one of our food donation points, you can donate via our page on ‘Give Today’ where you can buy any of the items on our list and they will be delivered to us (delivery is free).

Please contact us if you have any questions about donating food.
