Our foodbank relies on your goodwill and support.
Over 90% of the food distributed by foodbanks in The Trussell Trust network is donated by the public – that’s why your food donations are absolutely vital to our ability to give everyone referred to us a balanced and nutritious three day supply of food.
Our shopping list on the right shows the food items that we need right now. Please note that we cannot normally use refrigerated or fresh items as we have no facilities for storing them. Also, we cannot give food that is outdated, packets that have been opened, etc.
Please see the table below for some of our food collection point locations. Most churches in the area will also take donations, (including St. Edmund’s, Crickhowell) as will the Cathedral.
Please note these opening hours may not be accurate during the current situation, so it is best to check their websites before you make a special journey. If you cannot put your donation in one of the collection points, you may bring them to the Foodbank on Tuesdays or Fridays 1.30-2.30pm. If you do so, please bring them to door B, knock, step back at least 2m and wait for a volunteer to come to the door and instruct you on what to do. Thank you.

We always welcome donations and promise to use them to provide help to people in crisis, so long as they are within the use-by date, unopened/in reasonable condition. Occasionally we send food to other nearby foodbanks to support their work particularly if they experience shortages; we also donate excess to Help the Homeless-Wales. This ensures your donations go to help people wherever in the UK they are.
Please contact us if you have any questions about donating food.
